  • Speed: up to 50,000 rpm
  • Shaft position: parallel
  • Alignment: horizontal or vertical

Integral gear units stand out for their low space requirement. These gear units are normally single-stage with parallel axes; a number of pinions engage with a central gear. The pinions are arranged either horizontally or vertically offset. Teeth are either single-helical with or without thrust cone or else double helical and consist of tooth sets on horizontal or vertical parallel axes with herringbone teeth, single helical teeth, with or without thrust cones. The high-speed pinions are connected straight - usually positively - to the compressor impellers, which are fitted by our customers.
Integral gear units have from 1 to 4 pinions (in exceptional cases even more). The compression fluid increases from compressor impeller to compressor impeller, which are mounted on both sides of the pinions.
Integral gear units are used mainly for compressing gas, air and oxygen.
